Dentures & Partials
Do you have missing teeth? Do you remember the last time you smiled with confidence or enjoyed your favorite foods? Do you wish there was a solution that didn’t involve uncomfortable, fake-looking dentures?
You’re in luck because today there’s more than one option to replace missing teeth in Northeast Philadelphia. With full and partial dentures, fixed bridges, and dental implants, Dr. Lee Schriftman and Dr. Ryan Eckley can restore your smile and give you a new outlook on life.
Types of Dentures We Offer
The Philadelphia Dentist offers three basic types of dentures:
- Full dentures: If all your teeth are missing from your upper arch, lower arch, or both, our dentists would recommend full dentures.
- Partial dentures: We recommend partial dentures for those with partial tooth loss. Partials are designed to fit in and around existing teeth to complete your smile.
- Implant dentures: Adding dental implants to your full or partial dentures makes them stable and secure.
Modern Dentures Are Comfortable
Are you discouraged by your older dentures that never really fit right and cause irritation and sores in your mouth? You’ll be thrilled to know that today’s dentures are far more comfortable than what you are wearing now. Modern dentures at The Philadelphia Dentist are made using state-of-the-art materials that are lighter, softer, and conform snugly to the contours of your jaw.
We Customize Your Dentures for Your Smile
Today, we have access to modern dental materials that enable our dentists to customize every detail of your dentures. Each artificial tooth is customized for shape, shade, size, and position in the comfortable acrylic base. We’ll create a wax mockup of your new dentures so we can make adjustments as needed and deliver customized dentures that are as unique as your smile.
Implant Dentures Stay Securely in Place
If you wear removable full or partial dentures, you know how embarrassing it can be to laugh or sneeze and have them shift or even fall out. Dentures that don’t stay in place also cause discomfort and irritation and make it difficult to enjoy all your favorite foods comfortably again.
At The Philadelphia Dentist, we use dental implants to hold your dentures securely in place. A dental implant is a titanium replacement tooth root. It is placed surgically in your jaw and allowed to heal. We’ll design your new full or partial dentures with attachments that clip onto the dental implant in your jaw. Implant dentures placed at our Northeast Philadelphia dental office will stay securely in place and are as close in fit, feel, and function as possible to natural teeth.
Tooth Replacements to Fit Your Needs
At The Philadelphia Dentist, we’ll work with you to find the tooth replacement that best fits all your needs. Full and partial dentures, dental implants, and dental bridges are all excellent options, and we’ll explain the pros and cons of each.
